Am meisten gefordert sind Venera Gimadieva als Dorfmädchen Amina und der mexikanische Tenor Jesús León als ihr Bräutigam Elvino. Großartig singend und intensiv spielend machen sie klar, wie sehr sie sich lieben, in welche Gefahr jedoch ihre Liebe gerät, und wie schnell Gefühle in Eifersucht, Kummer, Verzweiflung und Wut bis zu Mord- und Selbstmordgedanken umschlagen können. Venera Gimadieva kann, wie schon erwähnt, eine ganze Gefühlsskala bieten, während Jesús Leóns lyrischer, aber koloraturgewandter Tenor ermüdungsfrei und intonationssicher sehr angenehm in die Ohren dringt. Zwei junge Künstler, schon international gefragt und vielleicht auf dem Weg zum Star.

Great singing and intense play, they make clear how much they love each other, however, in what danger their love gets, and how quickly feelings can turn into jealousy, sorrow, despair and anger, up to murder and suicidal thoughts. As already mentioned, Venera Gimadieva can offer a whole range of feelings, while Jesús León’s lyrical, but coloratura-tinged tenor penetrates into the ears without tiring and intonation-safe. Two young artists, already in demand internationally and maybe on the way to becoming a star.

Der Elvino des Jesús León ist die Überraschung des Abends. Auch sein Material ist nicht üppig und gründet auf fast noch schmalerer Basis als bei Gimadieva, wird aber Belcanto-konform eingesetzt und ist absolut höhentauglich. Was an Farbe und letzter Flexibilität fehlen mag, macht der feine, subtile Klang im Nu wett, der wie geschaffen ist für den aufrichtigen Herzenston dieser halb ernsten, halb komischen semiseria ist – besonders Prendi l’anello im 1. und Tutto è sciolto im 2. Akt haben kostbaren Tenorschmelz.
English:The Elvino of Jesús León is the surprise of the evening. His material is not lush and based on almost even narrower base than Gimadieva, but is used Belcanto compliant and is absolutely suitable for high altitude. What lack of color and ultimate flexibility makes up for the subtle, subtle sound that is made for the sincere heart sound of this half-serious, half-comical semiseria – especially Prendi l’anello in the 1st and Tutto è sciolto in the 2nd Act have precious tenor melts.

Da hat Jesus León als Elvino schon die besseren Karten. Als erstklassiger tenore di grazia, wie er im Büchl steht, gibt der Mexikaner eine Lehrstunde in Sachen Belcanto. Außerdem vermag er sich auch als erfolgsverwöhnter und gleichzeitig enorm verunsicherter Dorfschnösel eindringlich in das Panoptikum einer selbstgerechten hermetischen Dorfgesellschaft zu fügen.
English: Since Jesus Leon has the better cards as Elvino. As a top-class tenore di grazia, as he stands in Büchl, the Mexican gives a lesson in bel canto. In addition, as a success-spoiled and at the same time enormously unsettled village snob, he is able to forcefully add himself to the panopticon of a self-righteous hermetic village society.

Dazwischen steht als Elvino Jesús León – schöner harmoniert er im Duett mit Venera Gimadieva dank seiner hellen, leichten Kopfstimme, die er ohne große Anstrengung bis zum hohen d führen kann; zugleich macht er aber deutlich, in welchem emotionalen Ausnahmezustand jemand ist, der so hoch singt.

Einen sehr hellen Tenore di grazia bringt Jesús León als Elvino ein. Stil- und höhensicher bewältigt er seinen Part, darstellerisch hervorragend. Keine sehr große Stimme, aber eine, der man gerne zuhört.
